ISLAMABAD: A six-member bench of the Supreme Court lead by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the Hajj corruption case on Friday, DawnNews reported.
The FIA’s investigation report was termed unsatisfactory by the court.
The report stated that the owner of Bahria Town Malik Riaz, the private secretary of the interior minister Raja Javed, the former joint secretary of the religious affairs ministry Raja Aftab and former DG Hajj Rao Shakeel and Sultan Shar are involved in the Hajj corruption.
The Chief Justice remarked that no progress was being made in the case and that the evidence gathered was being wasted. The hearing of the case has been adjourned until April 29.
